Mark Olson is a third-generation woodworker with a lineage rooted deeply in craftsmanship and care. For over twenty years, Mark has worked with wood not simply as a material, but as a living story—one shaped by patience, precision, and purpose. Long before Blueline Studio existed, Mark learned the art of making from his father and his grandfather,, a retired architect, who famously built intricate dollhouses in Ballard, Washington—complete with hand-installed lighting, wallpaper, and architectural detail that rivaled real homes.

After years in the corporate world, Mark made the deliberate decision to return to his hands—to the work that always felt like home. Today, from his studio in La Quinta, California, he designs and builds custom wood tables that serve as functional art and gathering places. Each piece is crafted to reflect the client’s vision while carrying Mark’s signature balance of strength, warmth, and understated elegance.
